The Best Evidence from Research: The Gateway to Excellent Care
Friday, October 22, 2010, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

The Research Consortium of the Nursing Consortium of South Florida invites nurses from clinical, educational and research settings and students to come together for a day of dialogue on the latest nursing research. The conference, hosted by the Baptist Health South Florida, will be held at Parrot Jungle Island.  

General admission tickets may be purchased online for $75.00.  Students with current IDs may attend for only $55.00.  To purchase tickets online, please click here.  Note: The registration process will ask for each attendee's name, title, employer/organization, and license number.  This information will be used to produce name badges and continuing education contact hour certificates.

The Keynote Presentation: Advancing Safety and Quality: Nursing's Research Priority will be made by  Joanne Duffy, Ph.D., R.N., FAAN, Professor, Indiana State University School of Nursing.  Additional speakers and topics are listed below.

1. Describe the relationships linking research, evidence based practice, and safe quality care.

5. Identify two strategies that nurse researchers can use to bridge the practice-research gap.
